The Galt Police Department has successfully identified and apprehended a suspect following a robbery that occurred at a local business on Saturday evening in Sacramento County.
According to the police department, the incident transpired in the vicinity of Twin Cities Road and East Stockton Boulevard in Galt. The suspect, Andrei Mendez, a 19-year-old resident of Galt, attempted to evade law enforcement in a vehicle.

The pursuit initiated by the officers was quickly terminated for safety considerations after Mendez fled. Subsequently, the GPD reported that Mendez was arrested on multiple charges, including robbery, reckless evasion, DUI resulting in a hit-and-run, operating a vehicle with a suspended license due to DUI, resisting arrest, and battery.
