The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the man struck and killed by a vehicle on White Lane as 31-year-old Justin Dewayne Stalker of Rosamond.
The fatal crash occurred on April 8, 2025, around 8:25 p.m., at the intersection of White Lane and El Potrero Lane. Bakersfield police responded to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian.

When officers arrived, they found Stalker deceased at the scene.
According to a preliminary investigation by Bakersfield police, a red Jeep SUV was traveling eastbound on White Lane when it struck Stalker, who was crossing the street outside a crosswalk.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated fully with officers. Police said neither impairment nor excessive speed appeared to be factors in the crash.
