A routine traffic stop in Roseville on Thursday afternoon escalated into a brief pursuit and foot chase, ending with one suspect in custody.
According to the Roseville Police Department, officers attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation when the driver took off, leading police on a short chase. The pursuit ended near Sierra Drive, where the suspect exited the vehicle and tried to flee on foot.
Around 4 p.m., officers established a perimeter in the area to track down the suspect. By 4:22 p.m., they had made contact and arrested 55-year-old Julie Grindrod.
Grindrod was booked into Placer County Jail on charges of felony evading and resisting arrest, according to police.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
