YUBA COUNTY, CA — The Yuba County Marijuana Enforcement Team (METYU), with support from the regional SWAT unit and the California Department of Fish & Wildlife, carried out multiple search warrants last week in the Brownsville and Dobbins areas.
While the primary objective was to locate and dismantle illegal cannabis cultivation operations, investigators uncovered further criminal activity, including an illegal firearm, banned fumigant pesticides, and several water code violations.
By the end of the coordinated operations, authorities had eradicated 6,961 marijuana plants.
Officers arrested two individuals: Noe Calleja, 34, near Pine Ridge Drive in Brownsville, and Zhiming Huang, 61, near Sun Forest Court in Dobbins. Both men face felony charges for cultivating marijuana, possessing marijuana for sale, and resisting arrest.
