An Arizona jury convicted Erick Diliz of multiple murder charges tied to a fatal crash on Interstate 10, leading to three life sentences.
Diliz was sentenced on June 6 in Cochise County following a trial over a high-speed chase that resulted in three deaths, theCounty Attorney’s Office. reported.

In February 2023, Diliz was transporting nine undocumented migrants when state troopers attempted a traffic stop. He fled, sparking a pursuit. During the chase, his vehicle ran over stopsticks.
Prosecutors said he reached speeds of up to 120 mph before losing control and crashing into the median. Three passengers died at the scene, while others sustained injuries.
